About Us

The Pastry Pig is owned and operated by JJ Connolly, a self-described military brat who later married her own soldier. For 25 years JJ, her husband, and their three sons travelled around the country and around the world serving this great nation through peacekeeping missions, wars, and overseas tours. A former store manager for Tractor Supply in Athens, AL and Huntsville, AL, JJ found a way to combine her talent and passion for baking, her love of animals, country living, and her expertise in retail.

Jasmine the Pastry Pig is a Julian Pig, born in the hills of Tennessee and raised near the Elk River in Elkmont, AL. She is a great help to JJ and offers her honest critique of everything that is baked. Jasmine has made herself at home (literally) along with four dogs, four cats, and yard full of ducks and chickens.
