We provide meticulous inspections, thorough cleanings, high-quality repairs, and custom installations (chimneys and dryer vents) across the region. The Opportunity: Launch Your Career

This is an entry-level position designed for individuals who are reliable, take initiative, and are eager to learn a skilled trade. You will work directly under our CSIA Certified Chimney Professionals (CCPs) as you receive comprehensive on-the-job training. This role is a direct path to achieving professional certification and advancing within Empire Chimney Solutions.

Location: Hartselle, AL (Serving North Alabama)

Key Responsibilities

As a Non-Certified Chimney Technician, you will be crucial to the daily operations and safety of our service calls:

• Safety & Compliance: Work safely at all times, strictly adhering to company policies and instructions from the CCP, especially when working at heights (ladders, scaffolding, and roofs).

• On-Site Assistance: Assist CCPs with preparing the job site, setting up equipment, performing thorough chimney and dryer vent cleanings, and supporting repair or installation work.

• Physical Work: Safely and capably climb and work from extension and sectional ladders, and access and move across various types of roofing surfaces.

• Equipment & Vehicle Care: Ensure all company tools, equipment, and vehicles are cleaned, maintained, and organized for peak efficiency and readiness.

• Customer Service: Represent Empire Chimney Solutions professionally, ensuring the work area is clean and respecting the customer's home at all times.

• Professional Development: Actively engage in training and demonstrate a commitment to learning industry best practices, fire codes, and the technical aspects of chimney and venting systems.

Requirements & Qualifications

Must-Haves

• Mission Alignment: A personal commitment to safety, integrity, and the core principle that family safety is the top priority.

• Proven Reliability: A strong, verifiable work history that demonstrates reliability, punctuality, and professionalism. A college degree is not required.

• Takes Initiative: A self-starter who looks for tasks, anticipates needs, and shows a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Physical Capability & Comfort with Heights:

  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform sustained physical work outdoors.

  • Must be comfortable and capable of working safely from ladders and on roofs (often steep and varied surfaces).

• Licensing: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

Nice-to-Haves (Preferred)

• Any prior experience in the chimney, roofing, construction, masonry, or HVAC trades.

• Knowledge of the North Alabama service area.
